Meet Kris
Kris Batchelor (she/her), MA, LCMHCA | Therapist & Equine Therapist
We’re a good fit if... you're ready for more than just surviving. Maybe you've spent years trying to understand yourself by reading books, listening to podcasts, or talking yourself through the same patterns, yet you remain stuck in anxiety, self-doubt, people-pleasing, emotional overwhelm, or relationships that leave you feeling disconnected.
You don't need to be in crisis to benefit from therapy. You can simply want a deeper understanding of yourself, healthier relationships, and a life that feels more aligned with who you are. Together, we'll explore the experiences that shaped you, build on your existing strengths, and create opportunities for lasting change.
My ideal client is... someone who is carrying more than people realize. You may be navigating anxiety, burnout, grief, relationship challenges, a complicated relationship with food or your body, or the lingering impact of difficult life experiences. Many of you are caregivers by nature—healthcare or veterinary professionals, educators, parents, helping professionals, or anyone who spends much of their energy caring for everyone else.
Some clients arrive with a clear understanding of their patterns, while others simply know that something isn't working and they're tired of carrying it alone. You don't need the right words, a diagnosis, or a perfectly organized story. You simply need a willingness to be curious about yourself and open to the possibility that healing, growth, and change are possible.
I create safety and build rapport by... showing up as a real person first. I know how vulnerable it can feel to sit in the client chair, especially if you've spent years being the one upon whom others rely. I strive to create a space that feels warm and free from judgment-a place where you don't have to perform, explain everything perfectly, or have it all figured out.
I listen carefully, ask thoughtful questions, and move at your pace. I believe trust is built through consistency, authenticity, and genuine connection. My hope is that therapy becomes one of the places in your life where you can exhale, be fully yourself, and feel supported as you make sense of your experiences and create meaningful change.
Three things I love: my husband of 35 years, and our three adult sons; a long novel or a ridiculous marathon of reality television; and being outdoors on the farm surrounded by animals.
