Meet Lindsey Y.
Lindsey Youngquist (she/her), LCMHCA | Therapist
We’re a good fit if… you are someone who desires to deepen your understanding of yourself, foster growth in meaningful areas of your life, and develop tools to navigate the often-overwhelming challenges of everyday living. You may be experiencing anxiety, depression, disordered eating, body image concerns, or the lingering impact of trauma—and are seeking a safe, supportive environment to explore and heal. Perhaps your voice hasn’t always been heard or your feelings haven’t been validated, and you are looking for a space where that can finally happen. You may or may not feel ready to make change right now, but you hold goals and values for your current and future self that can serve as our guide in therapy.
My ideal client is… someone who strives to be “perfect” yet struggles to offer themselves compassion. A person who easily recognizes their faults but has difficulty acknowledging their strengths and successes. You might often feel as though you are never enough, and you’re ready to begin a journey toward self-acceptance and balance. You may be navigating internal and external challenges and are seeking to understand yourself more fully while learning healthier ways to cope and grow. I have experience working with individuals presenting with a range of eating disorders, including Anorexia Nervosa, Bulimia Nervosa, Binge Eating Disorder, OSFED, and ARFID.
I create safety and build rapport by… working from a person-centered perspective, grounded in the belief that you are the expert of your own experience. My role is to provide empathy, validation, and support while helping you access your own insight and wisdom. I bring authenticity and warmth into the therapy room—and yes, a sense of humor, too. Above all, your safety and comfort are my highest priorities. My goal is for you to feel seen, heard, and free to show up as your most authentic self.
Three (or so) things I love: coffee (definitely not plain black coffee!), my blue tick hound mix; Bandit, my tabby cat; Gary, a hike through a beautiful forest, cozying up with a good book and spending quality time with my family and friends.
